Touchgrind HD |
---|
Touchgrind originally came out for the iPhone and was a cool way to kill some time by simulating a finger board. The controls were awesome and many different tricks could be accomplished. But it’s one big flaw was in the hardware it played on. The screen was way too small to truly experience the game as it was meant to be played and the trick ramps and rails became more like obstacles.
On the iPad, the app is given much more room to breathe and presents an opportunity to let loose on the skateboard. The app is still very much the same as the original version with a few exceptions.
The controls are exactly the same utilizing a few different slides and finger timing to create all of the tricks possible. Perhaps the most interesting feature aside from the obvious expanded view is the addition of multiplayer.
Players can now split the screen in half and take each other on by performing tricks and grinds. The implementation was great and the only things I wish they had added was the ability to link up via wifi or bluetooth with another device. Overall, the game has only gotten better so check it out.
