- 10/06/2009 New App Added to the App Store <<Get App Here>>
Pitz is a new puzzle game for the iphone by Etherfield Games. The basic premise is to guide a bouncing ball through a series of challenging environments against the clock whilst collecting coins as you go which give you more points / time.
The clock does not click down in seconds as you would expect, but in points and the more coins you collect the more points are added and the quicker you finish the level the more points you earn.
Pitz is very challenging until you get to grips with the control scheme and becomes more rewadring the more you play, graphically it is very bright and vibran and also has a great soundtrack.
My only criticisms of the game are that it does not have the app name on the front screen, the only place where you see the name Pitz is the app icon and the very short loading screens between levels, there is no online leader board, which for a game that encourages you to finish a level with a high score is a little strange, the control positions on the display are not marked out well enough and unfortunately it reminds me far too much of Zuma both in the look of the game and in its (wonderful) soudtrack which is a shame because it actually plays very well.
Looks: Bright and vibrant, very Zuma though.
Controls: Difficult to get used to (and see) very good once mastered.
Sound: Excellent cheery Soundtrack. Good in game sounds.
Overall: A worth while app and good addition to your collection. There is better out there at the price point though.
